This policy describes the way in which gifts are processed.
Online Giving
Online giving is performed via our giving software, Subsplash. Online gifts can be initiated from destinylive.us/give.
Accessing Giving Records
Giving records are available via the mobile app at any time. For gifts given online, records are available in real time. For gifts given via any method other than online giving via Subsplash, records may take time to populate, and real time data is not available.
In-Person Giving
In-person gifts are accepted only on Sunday mornings during services. Envelopes are available to receive gifts via cash, check, and credit card information. Only gifts placed into the secure drop boxes will be processed.
A Gift Will Not Be Attributed to Any Individual When
- There is not a first and last name written legibly on the envelope.
If No Fund is Specified by the Giver
- If no fund is specified by the donor on the envelope, the entire amount will be recorded as a tithe.
Giving Statements Will Not be Sent to Those Without Sufficient Information on File
- If no mailing address or email address is on file for a giver, no statement will be issued.
Records for Married Couples
- Due to limitations of our giving software, each gift may only be recorded under one individual. Please note that IRS guidelines allow gifts given in either couples’ name to be included when filing jointly.
This is not tax advice. Please consult your accountant.
- For cash and credit card gifts, the entire gift will be attributed to the name listed first on the envelope.
- For check gifts, the entire gift will be attributed to the name listed first on the envelope.
